It’s the time of year when I take my own seasonal photos of my own children . This time of year being late Autumn and early Winter photos; is possibly my favourite part of the seasons, the clocks go back and everything becomes 'cosy'.
I love to see my boys in wooly hats, checked shirts and padded gilets. A scarf would usually be there too, however, I couldn't convince them to wear one so made do without! I take the opportunity to buy my daughter a new statement coat and winter boots.
These photos were took in the simplest of locations near to where we live in Rosliston. Despite originally planning on going further afield we ran out of time and I’m so glad we did now as the light hit the trees perfectly. As long as you have the right ingredients, you can make any woodland location work!
If you love outdoor portraits and would like to book a Winter mini session, don’t be put off by the chilly weather. Children generally don’t feel the cold like we do and as long as they are wrapped up warm, it will be worth it.
