Angelo from Derby another beautiful little boy welcomed into the world this last month with cheeks for days!
What a handsome little lad, those lovely long fingers and lips that were so smooshable. I love that we used these deep greens, navys and wooden tones in his photo shoot, he was so sleepy and comfy. Little Angelo was such a delight, he just rocked his photo shoot and was simply wonderful.
When’s the Best Time to Photograph Your Newborn Baby?
The first two weeks of a baby’s life are the best times to have a newborn photography session. During this time babies are very sleepy and will usually be settled through most of the photo shoot. Many babies often enjoy being curled up int the foetal position they were in in the womb, and this allows the photographer to capture lovely curled up poses, and all of the tiny details that make your baby unique.
After the first two weeks babies have usually started to uncurl, stretch out and are a lot more alert. They’re awake much more but not yet able to move, support their head or do things independently. If you’ve missed the newborn stage I recommend waiting a few months and booking your photo shoot for when your baby is around 6 months of age when they are sitting and becoming more independent.
