Training Made Easy & Affordable
Are you a professional photographer who has perhaps given newborn photography a go and not had much success or are currently stuck in a rut? Perhaps you are an enthusiastic amateur who is looking to take up newborn photography professionally. My training days may be just what you are looking for. Do you want to know the top tips and tricks for getting sleepy babies and how to carry out a session safely? Perhaps you would like help with lighting or editing images sensitively and naturally?
Training takes place either in my studio in Ashby de La Zouch in the East Midlands or at your own studio location. I request a £200 deposit payable upon booking to secure your training day with me. Topics covered include: Preparing for the session, posing, lighting, workflow, styling, editing and business advice. Training includes ongoing support via email and Teams for 6 months to help you with any questions that arise as you put your learning into practice with clients and models.
All deposits are non-refundable and payment is required in full 4 weeks prior to the day of your training.
I am Victoria, a specialist Newborn and Maternity Photographer with 12 years experience in the industry.
My training days have been described as a great first step on the ladder and I have helped many photographers get their photography businesses off the ground, not only through boosting confidence in posing but also by offering honest business and strategic advice. There is a strong emphasis on safety at all training sessions and I am passionate about raising standards in newborn photography. In the session I will cover everything I do from preparing the session, the lighting and equipment I use, business marketing through to post processing editing.
Mentoring Sessions
All of my 1:1 mentoring sessions cover the topics mentioned above, and I also spend time focusing on each student’s particular needs. That way, we can concentrate on the areas in which you feel you need the most support and assistance.
Being a newborn photographer and mentor is both a rewarding and privileged role and I love being able to share my knowledge with like-minded people to help them to realise their dreams. How to create a profitable business
Another important part of my 1:1 workshops is 'Business, Marketing & Sales'. I feel that most new photographers spend a lot of time learning how to pose babies and get the portfolio shots that they forget that this is actually a business too and not only do we need to get clients through the door, we also need to make profit. Newborn training takes place at my Midlands studio. You will be taught how to prepare for a session, newborn posing, lighting, learn a practical baby and family workflow along with setup styling.

Newborn training takes place at your own studio. I will teach you how to use your space to prepare for a session. You will learn posing, lighting, workflow, editing, advertising, e-commerce and business advice specific to you.
